This project has been developed to promote the UN Earth Charter and translate its principles into practice at a personal and community level. As well as building local support and encouraging personal action, the project aims to raise resources for developmental programmes to support young community entrepreneurs and leaders in preparation for roles in new sustainable ventures and social enterprises.
Entrusting The Earth to a New Generation
We live together in a fragile and interdependent world and unless we act boldly and decisively now the environmental and humanitarian consequences for the emerging generation will be disastrous.
There is no more important task than to support young people in their preparation for the future cultural transition and to mobilise this generation of global citizens to meet the challenge of sustainable development. We must inspire them to reach for their highest ideals and optimise their capability to respond creatively to surmount the challenge of the radically new context of the 21st Century.
