June 22nd 2013 sees the launch of the first home supper club in Cockermouth by Sharon Watson, a talented home cook and enthusiastic champion of local organic food. She will be serving a five course seasonal, Cumbrian organic meal to a maximum of ten guests at a communal table. Guests are invited to bring their own wines to keep costs low and although there is a £25 guide price can decide for themselves what to pay for their meal. Whilst rare in Cumbria, home supper clubs are an established part of the alternative dining scene elsewhere in Britain.
The evening will begin at 7.30pm at 14 Briar Bank, Cockermouth, CA13 9DN.
