Varnycrooks Orchard Blossom Day
Saturday, May 17, 2014 - 11:00

Varnycrooks Orchard Blossom Day
Saturday the 17th of May between 11am and 3pm
Join us for our Orchard Blossom Day this May where we will be busy doing a morning of gardening (mulching, weeding, and stone fruit pruning) and then enjoying a well-earned picnic in the afternoon
As usual, tea and coffee will be available, but please bring some food to share
The damsons, plums and early pears have put on a particularly fine display this year, so hopefully the apples will be doing the same in a couple of weeks time :)
We have recently paid for the orchard to join the newly formed Community Supported Agriculture Network. This is a self-funding body, which is aiming to continue the work of The Soil Association in promoting and assisting CSA projects around the country. Any donations towards this would be very welcome!
- Please come in some suitable weatherproof clothing, and most importantly, a pair of waterproof boots
- Friends and family are very welcome, but children under 16 need to be accompanied by a responsible adult
- Parking space is limited so car sharing is encouraged
- Please try to share transport where possible
- Donations towards our social event fund for materials and refreshments welcome
