ECO TEAM RESULTS SUMMARY

1.The aim of the Eco team project was to make behavioural changes to reduce our personal CO2 .This was based on the principle that “everyone can make a difference.”

2. The programme started with the training of 20 team leaders in Nov 2009, pre floods. We were funded by the Foundation (80%) and Cumbria Waste Preventation fund. (20%)

3. Five teams were organised from 16 households with 34 participants.

4. The teams ran through the GAP (Global action Plan) programme. Measurements were made and recorded on the GAP web site with one baseline month and 5 monthly meetings. The meeting topics were household waste and shopping, recycling/rubbish, home energy, transport, and water.

RESULTS FOR ALL FIVE TEAMS.

  • Recycling Up by 2% by weight.
